The Union High School RENEGADE REGIMENT marching band placed 6th in finals competition this past weekend at the Bands of America Grand National Championship, held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Union Schools

Union advanced to Semi-Finals with the top 32 competing groups out of a field of 92 bands from throughout the U.S., then making the cut for the prestigious Top 12 Finalist bands for the Saturday night event. In finals, students gave the performance of a lifetime in front of the 25,000+ fans, resulting in a huge, boisterous standing ovation at the conclusion of their performance. This is the highest placement at BOA Grand Nationals for the RENEGADE REGIMENT since 1986!

The marching band will be performing an Encore presentation of its 2011 Show “JUXTAPOSITION” Friday evening, November 18, during halftime of the 2^nd round playoff football game versus Edmond North. KRMG's Dan Potter (also an announcer for Bands of America) will be giving a special presentation prior to the performance.
