Deadline to apply for free meals is Oct. 3

The deadline for completing a free/reduced lunch application is October 3. You can apply online or request a paper application from your school site. (Not only do you receive the lunch benefit, but also you can get waivers for the ACT/SAT and college application fee waivers - see Amanda Howell )

This is Lisa Griffin with Union Public Schools Child Nutrition calling to tell you about a new opportunity to complete our free and reduced meal application ON-LINE. Once you enter the requested information, your data is transmitted to our office immediately, so you can receive benefits faster. To apply online, go to the district web site, unionps.org. Choose Departments, then choose Child Nutrition Department, and click on free and reduced meal application.
If you prefer to fill out a paper application, you may call Child Nutrition at 357-6134, or you may obtain an application at your child's school. We hope this new online method will provide better customer service to you and your family! Try it today!
