Campaign to kick off at Midfirst Bank Backyard Bowl

Nearly 20,000 football fans will witness the official launch of this year's Tulsa Area United Way Campaign during one of the nation's most legendary high school football games - the MidFirst Bank Backyard Bowl.

Football and the Tulsa Area United Way's annual campaign are two of our community's most beloved fall traditions. This year, nearly 20,000 football fans will witness the official launch of the 2012 Tulsa Area United Way Campaign during one of the nation's most legendary high school football games.

The official 2012 Campaign Kick-Off and Goal Announcement will be held during the MidFirst Bank Backyard Bowl at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, at the University of Tulsa's Chapman Stadium.

This storied rivalry between Jenks and Union High Schools will replace the former Trailblazer 5K Run and will be the inaugural event of the campaign season.

The day's events will include a news conference, presentation of the Campaign video, Campaign announcements during the game, recognition of Trailblazer companies and organizations, and a halftime reveal of this year's annual campaign goal.

We are proud to partner with MidFirst Bank, Union Public Schools and Jenks Public Schools to present this popular and exciting event.
