School-based social workers, working under the State Department of Human Services, work with Union students. Pictured are Cynthia Schaefer - High School; Monroe Alexander - Alternative Schools and the 6th/7th Grade Center, and Samantha Checotah, 8th & 9th Grade Centers. The School Based Services Specialist Program is a partnership between OKDHS and the Union School District. Union’s social workers provide a wide range of programs and assistance to help children and their families overcome obstacles. This valuable assistance allows students to be focused on their education and a brighter future.
Alexander was recognized over the summer for his work with Union.
