Welcome back to school

Originally posted August 13, 2012

The fiollowing are welcome back to school messages sent over the District's automated phone messaging system over the weekend.

Hello. This is Bethany Harper, principal at Andersen Elementary. I want to be the first to welcome Andersen students and families back to school this year. I would like to invite you to Meet the Teacher on Friday, August 17, from 3 to 5 p.m. School supply lists are posted on the Union website, and you are welcome to bring school supplies to the classrooms during Meet the Teacher if you would like. There will also be opportunities to pay for cafeteria breakfast and lunches. Student breakfast costs $1.15 and student lunch is $1.90.

The first day of school is Monday, August 20. Our times have changed slightly with school starting at 7:50 a.m. Students may enter the building at 7:35 and dismissal is now at 2:35. I look forward to a wonderful school year and eagerly await the arrival of your children. Goodbye.

Hello, this is Rosa Parks Principal Karen Vance inviting you to attend Meet the Teacher Friday, August 17, between 3 and 5 p.m. This is a great time to not only meet the teacher but also fill out updated information, make sure current lunch and bus information is correct, and join us for hotdogs and dessert sponsored by Connection Church and our PTA starting at 4:00. School supplies are provided this year, but we ask that each child bring a couple of boxes of Kleenex tissue and a back pack.

The first day of school is Monday, August 20, and we start school at 7:50 and dismiss at 2:35. On Fridays throughout the year, class will not start until 8:15 but dismissal is still at 2:35. You'll hear more about all of this at Meet the Teacher, so we hope to see you at Rosa Parks on Friday, August 17, between 3 and 5. As always, feel free to stop by Rosa Parks or call us at 918-357-2757.
