Union welcomes 140+ new teachers

All teachers who are new to Union undergo the weeklong orientation and training sessions, designed to get them accustomed to Union, its protocols and orient them with the Union way.
In a rteam-building exercise, teacher enjoyed a special scavenger hunt in the new Collegiate Academy wing. The prevailing comment? "It is so big!"
Teachers spent the week learning about benefits and other services available to them through Human Resources, Teaching and Learning services, meeting administrators, and learning about the kinds of software utilized by the district such as Parent OnLine - an online gradebook.
All teachers will report to work on the morning of Thursday, August 16. There will be a required back-to-school meeting at 1 p.m., August 16. Meet the Teacher will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, August 17.
