Frank David Spiegelberg, who was a Board member, from 1989 to 1999, has passed away.

Following is the notice which appears in today's Tulsa World.

Frank David Spiegelberg died on Saturday, July 28th, 2012 at the age of 63 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Washington D.C. on August 21, 1948 to Ruth and Joseph Spiegelberg and spent his formative years in Silver Spring, Maryland. Frank graduated with a degree in Political Science from Kent State University where he met and later married his loving wife Linda. He then went on to graduate from Duke Law School and proudly serve the Air Force in the Judge Advocate General Corps at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Following his Air Force service, Frank and Linda settled in Tulsa in 1977, where he first worked in the litigation departments at Cities Service Company and later Apache Oil. In the mid-1980s he transitioned into private practice becoming a prominent attorney in the oil and gas law field. A devoted civic leader, he served on the Union Public Schools school board for 10 years, serving multiple terms as the board’s president. He was also a member and past board president of Temple Israel. Frank was an avid cyclist and runner, and was a fixture at the YMCA even late into his illness. Frank and Linda enjoyed traveling with family and friends and did so extensively. Above all, Frank was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. In addition to Linda, his devoted wife of forty two years, Frank is mourned by children Adam (Andrea) and Kimberly, sister Beth Smith (Richard), nieces, nephews and one very special granddaughter, Mia. The family would like to thank Saint Francis Hospice for their excellent care and especially thank the many friends who shared this difficult journey with them. Funeral arrangements are by the Fitzgerald Funeral Home. Service at Temple Israel, 2004 E. 22nd Pl., at 10:30AM on Tuesday, July 31st. In lieu of flowers, for those who choose, the family would prefer donations to Cure PSP (give.psp.org) or Saint Francis Hospice (6600 S. Yale Ave, Tulsa, OK 74136).
