Crutchmer wins USA Junior National Wrestling

Union wrestler Kyle Crutchmer won the USA Junior National Wrestling Championship July 21 in Fargo, North Dakota. Crutchmer defeated Micah Barnes from Minnesota 1 – 0 and 6 – 0. For the tournament Crutchmer won 9 matches and lost 0, each match is decided by best 2 out of 3 periods and for that Crutchmer did not lose a single period the entire tournament and went 18 – 0. More
For his career at the USA Junior and Cadet National Championships, Kyle ended up being a seven time All-American. For Union, Crutchmer was a two-time state champion and will attend Oklahoma State University next year. Crutchmer joins former Union wrestler Jamaal Parks as the only Union wrestlers to win the USA Junior National Championship. Parks was a three-time state champion for Union and currently wrestles for Oklahoma State University.
