Remember when?

Remember this picture? While crews finish construction on the new Union Collegiate Academy at the High School - which opens next month - there was another time when orange barrels signaled the construction of the Union Multipurpose Activity Center on Mingo. This picture appeared in the 2001 July-August edition of the Communicator. Now, while Mingo by the High School has been unobstructed, much of the city's streets have featured orange barrels as part of ongoing projects. In fact, there have been so many barrels, people joke and refer to them as Oklahoma's state flower.
