Union’s last day of school is Tuesday, May 22
The last day of school for Union Public Schools will be Tuesday, May 22.
A number of schools have planned activities such as picnics or talent shows to celebrate the last day. Note: The Early Childhood Center is open year round.
Summer Hours for the Enrollment Center
June 4 to July 27, 8 a.m. a 5 p.m. Closed on Fridays
July 2 to July 6, 8 a.m. a 4 p.m. Closed on Wednesday, July 4
Jefferson Elementary School, 8418 S. 107 E. Ave., will host a talent show for students at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 22. Parents are invited to the same show at 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 21.
Boevers Elementary School, 3433 S. 133rd E. Ave., will host talent shows at 9 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. on May 22, while McAuliffe Elementary School will host its talent shows at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, for parents and again at 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 18.
Many secondary students will spend the last day finishing exams or class projects. Transcripts and diplomas at the High School will be ready beginning the week of June 18; 24-hour notice and photo identification is required for transcripts requests. If students are 18 years old and unable to pick up either a transcript or diploma for themselves, they must grant permission to release that information to anyone including parents; forms are available in the office. The transcript fee is $1.00.
Union will offer various summer school options at selected sites June 4-28, as well as several camps for athletics, spirit, and other groups. The first day of school will be Monday, August 20. For more information, visit www.unionps.org.
