Celebrate the 39th annual YouthArts! Festival

Union's Fine Arts Department proudly presents YouthArts!, the 39th annual fine arts festival showcasing the creative works and talents of elementary and secondary students.
YouthArts! is one of the longest running festivals of its type in the state of Oklahoma, celebrating its 39th anniversary in the spring of 2018. It was founded by Ed Tackett, now retired director of Fine Arts, and has grown immensely over the years. The 2018 Festival will run in April-May. See our calendar on the right of the website and view events under the Fine Arts heading.
The visual exhibition for YouthArts! will run May 10-13 at the UMAC for the following times:
- 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 10,
- 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 11,
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 12,
- noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 13.
Under the direction of the district's 50-plus fine arts teachers, the multi-day event is scheduled in late April and includes a variety of performances and exhibitions all open to the public. Those include:
- Combined Elementary Choir Concert
- High School Repertory Theater Production
- One Act Play Festival
- Visual Arts Exhibition
- Secondary Vocal Music Concerts
- Competitive Speech Exhibit
- High School Orchestra Concert
- Secondary Band Concerts
- High School Jazz Band Concert
- Winterguard Performance
The Repertory Theatre presents the 2018 Spring Showcase, six productions, April 16-21, at the Studio Theatre at Union High Schools. Showtime is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5. Each night will feature three of the productions. continue reading »

Union Public Schools will host the 3rd Annual STEM Expo to feature the great work going on in kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms across the district. The event has been reschedule and will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, in the UMAC. continue reading »
The Union 8th Grade Select Theatre presents "We'll Be Right Back After the Murder" at 7 p.m. April 26-27 at the 8th Grade Center. Tickets are $3. The play is directed by teacher Ericka McGhee. Alexis Gregory is assistant director. continue reading »
Union Theatre of Professionals presents "Harvey" 7 p.m. April 30-May 5 at the Union 9th Grade Studio. Tickets $5 at the door.
