Students return to class Monday with new school hours

In lieu of the scheduled parent/teacher conference day, students, teachers, and staff are expected to report to school on Monday, April 16.

Beginning Monday, April 16, 25 minutes will be added at the end of the instructional day at every Union school (except the Rosa Parks Early Childhood Center).

New daily start and end times, including Fridays, will be as follows:

  • Andersen:  7:50 am to 3:00 pm
  • Boevers:  7:50 am to 3:00 pm
  • Cedar Ridge: 8:25 am to 3:35 pm
  • Clark:  7:50 am to 3:00 pm
  • Darnaby: 7:50 am to 3:00 pm
  • Grove:  8:25 am to 3:35 pm
  • Jarman:  8:25 am to 3:35 pm
  • Jefferson:  8:25 am to 3:35 pm
  • McAuliffe:  7:50 am to 3:00 pm
  • Moore:  8:25 am to 3:35 pm
  • Ochoa:  8:25 am to 3:35 pm
  • Peters:  7:50 am to 3:00 pm
  • Rosa Parks:  7:50 am to 3:00 pm
  • 6th Grade Center:  7:50 am to 3:00 pm
  • 7th Grade Center:  9:05 am to 4:15 pm
  • 8th Grade Center:  9:05 am to 4:15 pm
  • 9th Grade Center:  8:25 am to 3:35 pm
  • Union High School: 8:20 am to 3:45 pm
  • All start and end times will be consistent Monday through Friday through the end of the school year.
  • School lunch times will change slightly to accommodate longer class periods.  Each school site will publish changes to their own site schedule through PTA and social media outlets.
  • Athletics and Fine Arts schedules may change and will be communicated by the Directors and/or coaches.
  • Union's Extended Day Program (EDP) will open at 7:00 am and close at 6:00 pm, as normal.
  • Elementary afterschool programs will be extended by 25 minutes.  Please look for additional communication from your child's elementary school.
  • Secondary summer school will begin June 4 for grades 6-12.
