AFJROTC seeking donations

Originally posted September 12, 2018

Union AFJROTC have partnered with the DAV 5K and Team Eagle Ops to support all veterans and deployed military members wherever they may be.  We are going to have  80+ cadets marching in formation at the DAV5k on 3 November at Guthrie Green.  Each cadet will march with a Ruck Sack on their back…They are each responsible for putting 22 items from the list below into their rucksack.  Each cadet will then donate those items to the Blue Star Mothers of Broken Arrow.  All of these items will be placed into care packages and sent to our service members deployed all around the world in defense of freedom.  Other items will be donated to the Claremore Veteran’s Center.

Could you help us in spreading the word throughout Union?  We’d like the entire Union Community to come together to help us fill those rucksacks.  Help us help our local veterans and our deployed members everywhere. Drop stuff off at the JROTC room or find a cadet to sponsor.  We get absolutely nothing out of this for our program….everything goes to Vets or Deployed personnel.
