Union to showcase its Project Lead the Way curriculum Thursday

Originally posted April 19, 2017

Union Public School on Thursday will entertain area educators, who plan to tour the district and learn more about Union's Project Lead the Way curriculum.

The tour will start at 8:30 a.m. at Darnaby Elementary School and take vistors to the Union 8th Grade Center, Union 6th/7th Grade Center and the High School. Stops at the secondary schools will focus on Union's engineering and biomed course offerings.

Project Lead The Way or PLTW offers a different approach to learning and teaching. Through activity-, project-, and problem-based curriculum, PLTW gives students in kindergarten through high school a chance to apply what they know, identify problems, find unique solutions, and lead their own learning. For teachers, our engaging, rigorous professional development model provides tools to empower students and transform the classroom into a collaboration space where content comes to life.

PLTW curricular programs include PLTW Launch, PLTW Gateway, PLTW Engineering, PLTW Biomedical Science, and PLTW Computer Science. Learn more.
