The Union Redskins Fastpitch Softball team went undefeated at the Broken Arrow Softball Tournament on August 19-20 to win the championship. In addition, it was the 600th career win for Coach Jerry Pease. Coach Pease was formerly the Head Softball Coach at Bixby and is starting his third year as Head Softball Coach for the Lady Redskins. Congratulations to the Lady Redskins and Coach Pease!
Board of Education Vice President Heather McAdams to returning staff: "Public schools are now operating in a very challenging environment. We must find ways to manage our district while dealing with continuous, increasing state funding cuts and difficult new legislation. Obviously this crisis affects every employee in the district. Schools have larger class sizes, fewer support staff, and less money for operations. However, even in this challenging environment, Union continues to thrive."... more

This week, the Union School Board approved the expansion of the Extended Day Program (EDP) to include pre-kindergarten as well as sixth and seventh grade students. We are now accepting enrollment and payment for the 2011-2012 school year.
