Baby rooms help young mothers finish education

Grove Elementary School, 10202 E. 62nd St., is helping young mothers graduate from Union High School, 6636 S. Mingo, by providing a room for their babies. Similar baby rooms are operating at Cedar Ridge and Rosa Parks elementary schools as well. Union is also planning to develop a more comprehesnive Early Head Start Childhood program. ... more

Ross Ford elected to Zone 2 of Board of Education

Ross Ford was elected to the Board of Education for a five-year term, representing Zone 2, during a run-off election against Guy Fortney on April 3. Ford received 53 percent of the vote.
