Union Board decides teacher salary issue

After nearly a year without a contract, the Union district and its teachers have reached a resolution to their salary negotiations impasse. Unions Board of Education voted Monday night, May 14, to give each teacher an extra $100 above the $3,000 pay increase they were already receiving this year because of a state-mandated pay raise for 2006-2007. The $100 increase will be paid to teachers by the end of June.... more
