Miranda Fish is 18, a senior at Union Alternative School and the mother of a 10-month-old boy. She admits she had no idea about being a parent when she was first pregnant with her son, Miles. That was before she was enrolled in the Oklahoma Parents as Teachers program, a child development and education curriculum that supports parents in their primary role as the child's first educator. It seems like everyday something changes at the High School campus as crews work feverishly to construct the much-awaited wing for the Union Collegiate Academy.
“The 125,000 square-foot Collegiate Academy wing is on schedule for completion in late July, 2012,” reported Lee Snodgrass, executive director of Project Management.

Union Varsity Cheer is having a carwash on Saturday, September 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Food Pyramid at 71st and Garnett. All proceeds will help send the girls to the UCA National Cheerleading Championship in February. The first 20 customers at the car wash will receive a free mini snow cone compliments of Josh’s Sno Shack.

There will be no advanced football ticket sales for the Union vs. Bixby football game, Friday, September 23. Tickets may be purchased at the stadium ticket booth, starting at 5:30 p.m.
