  • Cheerleaders hosts flapjack fund raiser Oct. 6

    October 3, 2012
    Join the Varsity Cheer squad at their annual Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast on Saturday, October 6, from 8 to 10 a.m at the Applebee's Neighborhood Bar and Grill on 71st Street.  Tickets are $8 per person.  Tickets are available from any Varsity Cheerleader or at the door.  All proceeds will help the team travel to nationals in Florida this February.

  • UVLA = 98 percent success rate

    In 2008 students began asking for online classes they could take at their own pace and have access to 24 hours a day. Union High School administrators built a virtual academy using GradPoint, where all students could sign up for classes. Within its first year of implementation more than 800 courses were taken with a 98 percent successful pass rate.... more

  • Voter registration deadline is October 12

    October 1, 2012
    Friday, October 12, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the November 6, General Election.

    Persons who are United States citizens, residents of Oklahoma, and at least 18 years of age may apply to become registered voters.

    Persons who have never registered to vote or who are not currently registered in the county of their residence, and persons who are registered but need to change their registration information may apply to register or to update by filling out and mailing an Oklahoma Registration Application form in time for it to be postmarked by Friday, October 12. Voter registration is also offered at the Tulsa County State Fair.

    Charlie Gordon, a gentle, simple man with an IQ of 68 who is the subject of an intelligence-enhancing experiment. This lowly baker, who was the butt of many of his co-workers' jokes, is soon alienating his friends by quoting Shakespeare and reading Russian. Unfortunately, his heightened intelligence proves to be temporary and he soon slides back into being unintelligent. This production stars Boston Heath as Charlie and is directed by Troy Powell.
