  • Ice route/school closing information

    December 26, 2011
Each winter, Union Public Schools makes arrangements to alert parents about school closings or changes in bus routes because of icy or snowy conditions. See Transportation.

In case of school closings, information will be posted on the district website and shared with local media for broadcasting. Union will notify families using its automated phone messaging system. Parents may also call the Union Public Schools Recorded Information Line (918-357-7065.)

In some cases, Union may hold school while offering alternative bus routes or ice routes. While most areas of the district have only minor weather-related problems, the area bounded by Yale and Sheridan and between 76th and 91st Streets requires alternate stops. A copy of the ice routes is on the school website. Affected families will also be notified using the district’s automated phone messaging system.
