  • Union seeks approval of $26-million bond issue Tuesday, Feb. 14


    Union Public Schools is asking patrons to consider approval of a $26-million school bond issue when they go to the polls on Tuesday, February 14. The largest portion of the bond includes the next phase of construction of an elementary school to enable students throughout the district to attend school closer to home. Passage will not increase taxes above traditional levels and requires a supermajority – at least 60 percent of the vote.

    The Union Board of Education has scheduled a special election Tuesday, February 14, 2017, for Union patrons to decide on a $26-million bond package, emphasizing that passage will not increase taxes above traditional levels.

  • Winter Break to run Dec. 21-Jan. 4, 2017


    Happy Holidays from Union Public Schools! School will be closed December 21 through January 4, 2017. Classes will resume Thursday, January 5. The Education Service center, Union Warehouse & Distribution Center will be closed Friday, December 23 through Monday, January 2, 2017.  Teachers will return to work on Wednesday, January 4 for a Professional Development Day.

  • Tickets for 'The Drowsy Chaperone' now on sale to the public


    The Union Fine Arts Department is pleased to announce that tickets are now available for this year’s all-school musical, "The Drowsy Chaperone" for employees. Tickets to the general public go on sale Monday, Dec. 19.  Performances will be at 7 p.m. in the Union Performing Arts Center at the High School February 1-4. Qualifying district employees can get two tickets at no charge in certain seating areas of the PAC but these tickets are only available through January 13. continue reading

  • Naptime Serenades at Early Childhood Center


    Tulsa Symphony Orchestra musicians Susie Brown and Sarah Evans serenade 3-year-old students at the Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center. The program is called Naptime Serenades. The musicians play music in the hallways that pours into the classrooms as the young students take a short nap. Some of the classrooms play lullaby music as well.
